DAHL, SCHROEDER, HARNACK

Postville, Ia. - Funeral services for August Dahl, 90, who died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry W. Schroeder, were held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Wednesday. The Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Mr. Dahl was a resident of Postville since 1903 when the family moved from Clayton Center. He has made his home with his daughter for eight years.

He was born in Garnavillo on June 10, 1854, the son of Peter and Anna Schroeder Dahl. He was married to Sophia Harnack, of Postville, on Mar. 17, 1882.

Surviving are three sons, Henry Dahl, St. Olaf, Ia., George Dahl, Arlington, Minn., and Eldo Dahl, Huntington, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Schroeder and six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and one sister.
