Marquette, Ia. - Services for Mrs. Mary Ecker, 80, a resident of Marquette for more than 50 years, were held in St. Mary's Church here Thursday. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ecker died at Slayton, Tex., Sunday, where she had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Tilvert Elkins, since last Septemeber.
She was born in Clayton, Ia., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Keene. Following her marriage to Charles Ecker, she came to Marquette to live. Mr. Ecker, an engineer on the Milwaukee Railroad, died in 1910.
Surviving, besides the daughter, Mrs. Tilvert Elkins, are a son, John Ecker, of Slayton, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Baker, of Lubbock, Tex. and Mrs. Victoria Baldwin of Rockford, Ill.; three grandchildren, and one great grand-child.
