Guttenberg, Ia. - Funeral services will be held here Monday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church for Mrs. William Morerand (sic), long-time resident of Guttenberg who died Friday. The services will be in charge of the Rev. W.J.F. Adix, pastor. Burial will be in the City Cemetery. Mr. Morerand survives.

Guttenberg, Ia. - Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon for Mrs. William Morarend, 59, who died last Friday following a long illness. The services were at St. John's Lutheran Church in charge of the Rev. W.J.F. Adix, pastor. Burial was in City cemetery.
Mrs. Morarend was born Dec. 18, 1880 in Pommerania, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Voss. She came to America with her mother when three years old and in 1904 she came to this community where she since lived. On Oct 24, 1893, she was married to William Morarend at Emory, S.D.
Survivors include her husband; six sons, Arno of Osterdock, Henry of Gillman, Wis., Archie, August, and Marvin, all of Guttenberg, and Erwin of Colesburg; three daughters, Mrs. Ella Borcherding of Guttenberg, Mrs. Cora Lundt of Osterdock, and Mrs. Alfa Blume of Wyoming; one brother, Fred Voss of Emory; and 24 grandchildren.
