Elkader, Ia. - Funeral services for Fred Eidams, 82, life-long resident of Clayton County, will be held Sunday afternoon at the home at Mederville with the Rev. N.O. Bartholemew, pastor of the local Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Mederville Cemetery.

Mr. Eidams died at his home at Mederville at 8:30 o'clock Friday night following a lingering illness. He was born and raised in Clayton County and for 50 years he operated a blacksmith shop and wagon business at Mederville.

His wife preceded him in death some years ago. He leaves no immediate survivors.
