Garnavillo, Ia. - Funeral services were held here Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Frank Rohwedder, 88, who died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Dettman, following a four weeks' illness.
Burial was in the City Cemetery. The Rev. A. Meyer, pastor, officiating at the last rites.
Mr. Rohwedder was one of the oldest residents of this community, having come here in 1869 from Luckon, Germany where he was born June 19, 1852. He was married to Caroline Marie Huhr on Aug. 27, 1876.
Survivors are two sons, Louis and Henry; and four daughters, Mrs. Amelia Dettman, Mrs. Amanda Harberg, Mrs. Maggie Schaeffers of Emory, S.D., and Mabel.
His wife, two daughters and one son preceded him in death.
