Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 2, 1963 for Mrs. Bernice Gertrude Cook at the Witt funeral home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard F. Banzhaf officiating. Burial was in the Eastside cemetery.
Pallbearers were W.W.Sadewasser, John Hankes, Herbert Katschkowsky, and John Johansen.

Bernice Gertrude Williamson Cook, daughter of Henry and Mary Williams Williamson was born Feb 25, 1875 in Boardman two. Clayton co Iowa and died at the Central Community Hospital June 29 1963. She had suffered a broken hip two weeks ago, but had been a shut-in for years.

Mrs. Cook was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader.
She was married to Fred A. Cook at Elkader, September 13, 1898.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1950, a daughter, Gladys in 1933 and a son Harold in 1936.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Helen) Nydegger, Elgin; four grandchildren, Faye Cook, Edgewood; Robert Larson, Rock Island, ILL. Kent Nydegger, Fayette and Mrs. Dennis (Carolee) Wolfs, Merced, Calif; a stepsister, Mrs. Ruth Congden, Calmar and 4 great-grandchildren.
