Guttenberg, Ia. - Funeral services for Otto H. Lake, 66, who died suddenly following a heart attack, were conducted at the Masonic Temple here with the Rev. H.C. Coovert, pastor of St. Paul's United Lutheran Church, officiating.
Mr. Lake was born in Guttenberg on Nov. 12, 1873, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lake. He was superintendent of the Guttenberg Canning Company for a number of years and also held similar positions at Dyersville and Clarksville. He was the inventor of a boxing machine used in the canning industry for packing canned goods.
He was married to Miss Lizzie Nehring.
Survivors include three sons, Emery of Chicago, Calvin of Detroit, and Elmer in Delaware; one brother, Henry of Luxemburg; and one sister, Mrs. George Holtfoerster of St. Louis.
