Marquette, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Henry F. Schott, 78, will be held at the home here at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Dwight E. Webster, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at McGregor. Mrs. Schott died Friday following a two weeks' illness.
She was the former Emma Jane Barron and was born at Camden, N.Y., July 2, 1864, one of 12 children of Mr. and Mrs. John Barron. Following her marriage to Mr. Schott at Prairie du Chien, Wis., on Dec. 26, 1889, the home was made here where her husband was in the employ of the Milwaukee Railroad for many years prior to an accident which resulted in his death July 1, 1926.
Surviving are six children: Harry, Lloyd, Neola, and Bert, all of Marquette; Henry, of McGregor, and Mrs. William Blackman, of Mason City; three brothers, Mark and Steve Barron, both of Mason City, and R.H. Barron, of Arnold's Park; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Kerwin, of Moorhead, Minn. and Mrs. Loretta Boyd, of Mason City, and 12 grandchildren.
