Hilma Wilhelmina Radloff Lenth was born July 23, 1900, at Clayton Center, Iowa to parents Carl and Wilhelmina Klinkenberg Radloff. She was baptized December 2, 1900 by Rev Siefert and confirmed March 28, 1915 by Rev Gvetzlaff at St John’s Lutheran Church in Farmersburg. She received her education in Bismark country school and Farmersburg school.

On September 27, 1918 Hilma was united in marriage to Elmer Lenth at her parents home in Farmersburg by Rev. G.F.Braven. To this union three children were born. The couple farmed near Farmersburg for 40 years. They retired and moved to Monona January 1, 1959.

Hilma died Tuesday, August 28, 1990 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church and faith circle. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and upholstering furniture.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Elmer, who died February 11, 1990; three brothers, Louis, George and Elmer Radloff; three sisters, Malida Schultz, Lucy Hagensick and Ella Dahlstrom.

Surviving is one son and his wife, Clifford and Faye Lenth of Elkader; two daughters and their husbands, Gretchen and Carlton Fuelling of Monona and Janet and Clark Moser of Guttenberg; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 31, 1990, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona at 11 a.m. Pastor Harold O. Ward officiating. Organist, Florence Evans. Special music by Raymond Doerring and LeRae Schutte. Burial in Farmersburg-Wagner cemetery.

Pallbearers: Glen Radloff, Keith Radloff, Marlin Schultz, Lynwood Dahms, Don Moon and Harold Lenth.

Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona in charge of services.
