Guttenberg, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wulfekuhl, 80, will be held here Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. J.A. Dupont, pastor, celebrating the requiem mass. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Wulfekuhl died Saturday at St. Joseph's Sanitarium in Dubuque following a long illness. She was the former Mary Kann and was born Sept. 3, 1862 [date possibly is 9/8/1862], in Clayton County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kann. She was married Jan. 17, 1888, to Bernard Wulfekuhl and they farmed in this vicinity until they retired and moved to Guttenberg about 37 years ago.
Her husband preceded her in death some years ago. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Anna Uriell, of Guttenberg; Mrs. Rose Wagner, of Breckenridge, Minn., and Mrs. Kathryn Herting, of Dubuque; eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Powers, of Guttenberg; and three brothers, Hubert Kann, of New Orleans, and Henry and Gottfried, both of Guttenberg.
