Monona, Ia. - Funeral services for Miss Mahala Elizabeth Bruns, 59, who died Wednesday at her home following a lingering illness, were conducted at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church here Friday afternoon. The Rev. H.M. Adix of Farmersburg officiated and burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Miss Bruns was born at Garnavillo in 1883, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bruns. In 1911 she moved to Monona with her parents, where she since made her home.

Surviving are six sisters: Mrs. Sophia Kregel of Garnavillo, Mrs. Emma Meyer of Postville, Mrs. Lucy Grace and Mrs. Rosie Mohning both of Le Mars; and Mrs. Margaret Kaiser and Mrs. Vina Tewes, both of Monona; and one brother, George Bruns, also of Monona.
