KLEINPELL, SCHMIDT, MURPHY

Elkader, Ia. - Funeral services for William F. Kleinpell, 78, will be held here Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Friedens Evangelical Church, with the Rev. Paul Kitterer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside cemetery.

Mr. Kleinpell, operator of a local hardware store for many years, died Saturday following a four-year illness.

He was born Dec. 10, 1864, at Cassville, Wis., and he came to Elkader in 1887. The following year he was married to Minnie Schmidt, who preceded him in death along with a daughter.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. C.F. Murphy of Elkader; two brothers, Dr. Henry Kleinpell of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Julius of Cassville; one sister, Frieda of Cassville; and three graddaughters.
