Frank Edmund Havlicek
Frank Edmund Havlicek, son of John and Anna (Sudol) Havlicek, was born Aug. 29, 1914 on the home farm in Giard Township, Clayton County, Iowa. He died Wednesday, March 2, 1994 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wis. He was 79.
Frank received his education at the Irish Ridge Country School and the Monona High School. On Aug. 19, 1936 he married Agnes Miller at Galena, Ill. He was a truck driver and, along with his wife, he owned and operated the Watson Store for 27½ years.
Preceding him in death were his parents and 3 brothers, Leo, John and Ben. Survivors include his wife, Agnes; a son Robert (Karen) Havlicek of Monona; a daughter, Eileen Page of McGregor; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Marie Ambrose of Monona; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 5, 1994 at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, the Rev. Terry Hudson officiating. Pallbearers were Daniel Havlicek, Michael Page, Kenny Christianson, Dennis Dettman, Larry Suddendorf, Jim Tayek, Bob Tayek and Jerry Tayek. Burial was in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, rural McGregor. Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona was in charge of services.
