Volga City - Funeral services for Frank L. O'Brien, 53, treasurer of the Volga Farmers Creamery association, who died at his farm home Tuesday, after a long illness, will be held at Sacred Heart church at 10 o'clock Thursday morning. The Rev. D.T. Noonan, pastor, will celebrate the requiem mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Besides being a farmer, Mr. O'Brien was a livestock buyer and for a number of years served as township assessor.
He is survived by his wife, the former Cecile White; three children, Corp. Neil T. O'Brien, in the army, and Duane and Mary, both at home; two brothers, John O'Brien, in Florida, and Arthur O'Brien, Cedar Rapids; and four sisters, Mrs. Katie Quinn, Elkader; Mrs. P.H. Quinn and Mrs. Agnes Meyers, both of Strawberry Point; and Sarah, in Louisiana.
