Volga City, Ia. - Burial services for Mrs. Esther Griffiths, 87, who died Tuesday at her home in Marion, Ia., were held at Hill Crest cemetery here Thursday, following services in Marion.
Mrs. Griffiths was born in Volga City on Jan. 31, 1858, as Esther Bennington. She was married at Sioux City to Edward W. Griffiths, who died in April, 1934.
She is survived by two sons, Wybro Griffiths, Marion and Edward W. Griffiths, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Mermie Barry, Princeton, N.J., Mrs. Ella Hastie, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Grace Baker, Houston, Tex.; a brother, William Bennington, Volga City; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Esther Griffiths, 87, died Monday at her home at Marion, after a long illness. She was the former Esther Bennington, sister of William Bennington of Volga, the last surviving member of the family.
Burial will be at Hill Crest cemetery in Volga, but at this writing, funeral arrangements are incomplete.
