Imogene’s obituary:

Imogene Montour, daughter of Lee R. And Gladys M. (Leas) Huffman, was born January 24, 1920 at Rossville, IA. She received her education at the Rossville school.

Imogene was united in marriage to Harvey Louis Montour on Aug. 22, 1939 at the EUB parsonage in Monona. She had been employed at Monona Wire. She enjoyed fishing and quilting.

Imogene died Thursday, May 22, 1997 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey; two sons, Dean Montour and his wife, Marlene, of Central City, IA, and Steven Montour and his wife, Cyndi, of Inver Grove Heights, MN; six grandchildren, Michele and Kellie Montour, Cody Schmitz, Nicholas, Derek and Adam Montour; one brother, Francis Huffman of Marion, IA; four sisters, Neva Mead of Center Junction, IA, June Serbousek of Center Junction, Iowa, Betty Everman of Postville, IA, and Shirley Stratte of Waukon, IA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
