Postville Herald, Thur., 30 August 1923.

Wm. N. (Billy) Walter of McGregor, recognized for many years as the leading cornetist in America and for 15 years musical director of Al G. Fields Greater Minstrels Band, died at a hospital in Dubuque a week ago on Saturday following a protracted period of failing health. He was aged 57 years.
