Fatal Shooting Accident.
A shooting accident occurred near Luana last Sunday afternoon about 4 o'clock. A son of Dell Brainard, about 18 years old, and a son of Will Lundt*, 8 years old, were out hunting and shooting at a mark. Brainard was about to shoot at a mark on a bridge and stepped back to get a better sight, the gun being cocked. In stepping backward his foot struck a stone or some impediment and he stumbled, discharging the gun, the ball passing entirely through the body of the Lundt boy from one side to the other, perforating the bowels. He died at 10 o'clock the same evening. It was a shocking accident and the Lundt family have the sympathy of all.
