Agnes Henry, McGregor, Iowa, March 13, 2013

Agnes P. Henry, 99, McGregor, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Great River Care Center, McGregor, Iowa.

She was born on August 18, 1913 in Marquette, Iowa to Herman and Myrtle (Barker) Adney. She attended McGregor Schools through the eighth grade.

Agnes was united in marriage with Raymond Henry. To this union two children were born. She worked at the Button Factory, McGregor Electronics and the Gingerbread House in Prairie du Chien as a waitress. Agnes enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and she loved reading.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Irene (Gene) Riley of McGregor; six grandchildren, Karen Lewis, Barbette Encinas, Janet Weeks, Stanley Riley and Jena Kreul; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Henry; son, Stanley Henry; her parents, Henry and Myrtle (Barker) Adney; a granddaughter, Debra Rae Riley; brothers, George Adney and Richard Adney and sisters, Elsie Northway and Geneva Olson.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 12-2 p.m. at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor, Iowa with Rev Dennis Hopes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, McGregor, Iowa.

Thornburg – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of McGregor, Iowa is helping the family with the arrangements.
