Waukon - Sophie E. Wacker, 94, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, in Good Samaritan Center following a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Zion United Church of Christ, by the Rev. Richard Eick. Burial: East Side Cemetery, Elkader. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Martin Funeral Home, Waukon.

Survivors include six daughter, Laura and husband Raymond Herrmann of Mountain Home, Ark.; Louise and husband Donald Schneberger of Waterloo; Alice Schlacke of Waterville; Ruth and husband Paul Willar of Maple Grove, Minn.; Esther Hemme of Zumbrota, Minn.; and Sally and husband Robert Livingston of Dallas; five sons, James and wife Margaret of Waukon; Glen and wife Rachel of Cedar Rapids; Paul and wife Lou of Perry; Dale and wife Connie of Parnell and Ray and wife Shirley of Boscobel, Wis.; a sister, Greta Bruns of Decorah; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Wacker of Hiawatha; a sister-in-law, Viola Mueller of St. Olaf; 38 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
