Carl Steglich

Carl Johann Heinrich Steglich, son of August and Anna (Koss) Steglich, was born at Clayton Center, Iowa on March 4, 1890 and died at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, September 14, 1979. He was 89.

Baptized June 23, 1890 at his home and confirmed March 27, 1904 at the Luana Lutheran Church, he was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville.

Carl was married to Meta Miene, August 20, 1953 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. She survives as does a sister, Mrs. Alma Berns of Garnavillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Emil (Rosa) Lembke.

Services were conducted by the Rev. David R. Nelson, 10:30 a.m. September 17 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
