Eight Year Old Randy Meisner Dies
Randy Lee Meisner, eight year old son of Ivan and Jeanne Meisner, Farmersburg, Iowa, died at 7:30 p.m., August 22, 1973, at the Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisc., of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Randy Meisner was born on March 3, 1965, in Elkader, Iowa. In May of 1965 he was baptized at Peace United Church of Christ in Elkader by Rev. Richard Banzhof. Sponsors were Dorothy and Eldon Shaw. He attended Sunday School at St. John Lutheran in Farmersburg and had completed the 2nd grade at M-F-L.
Funeral services were conducted at St. John Lutheran in Farmersburg with the Area Minister, Rev. Allan R. Schultz, officiating. The day of the funeral was August 25. Pallbearers were Irvin Kruse, Terry Moon, Ronald Gottschalk, Stanley Larson, Wesley Kupsky, Jr., and Richard Kupsky.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Harold Meisner.
Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn, his sister, Rebecca, and brothers Richard and Rodney, at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hoffman and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hofer; his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schultz, and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
