She was united in marriage with John Witt, to which union were born five children, three boys and two girls. All are alive and now motherless. But He has said, "I will never leave thee, nor foresake thee". And the dear Lord has further said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of heaven", and will take care of them and help the father to train the children. The deceased had been sick for three months, when typhoid fever struck her and in her weakened condition made it impossible for her to fight so formidable a foe. She is survived by her husband, five children, mother, five brothers and four sisters and many relatives and friends.

The funeral was held from the Lutheran church at one o'clock p.m. Monday, Rev. R. Kuehne officiating. Interment in the Postville cemetery.

During the service at the house the two youngest children were baptized by the side of the casket bearing the body of their dear mother. The boy receiving the names Delbert Louis Fritz, and the girl Maria Emma Anna. Sonsors -- Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koenig, Fritz Meyer and Emma Mingas.
