Postville Review, Sat., 17 Nov. 1894. (Taken from the Cresco Plaindealer, undated).

Hon. David Hammer, formerly of McGregor, died at Mitchell, S.D., a few days since. He was one of the original incorporators of the McGregor Western railway, now the C.M.& St.P. He was State Senator from Clayton county one or two terms, postmaster at Mitchell, S.D., four years. He attained the ripe old age of 82 years and was universally respected. -- Cresco Plaindealer.
