DIED- At his home near Gunder, Clayton county, Iowa, on Tuesday, June 7th, 1898, James Paulson, aged 68 years.

Deceased was a native of Norway; came to the United States when comparitively a young man, possessed of but little of this world's wealth. Forty years ago he settled on a farm in Marion township, where he has lived ever since, by constant industry making his farm one of the richest and finest properties in the township, beside accumilating a handsome competency. He was twice married, and his death will be mourned by the wife and family of grown children. Mr. Paulson was a good neighbor, liberal toward any public enterprise he deemed worthy of support, and was held in high esteem by the people of his vicinity. The funeral occurs to-day from the "Clermont" Norwegian Lutheran church, Rev. Barton of this city assisting in the services.
