McGregor, Iowa, October 29th - Rev. S.P. Sloan, pastor of the First Congregational Church of this city, died at 12/30 o'clock to-day, after a painful illness of fifteen days, from malarius fever, complicated with a severe chronic difficulty of the head. The deceased was the son of Father Sloan, formerly of this city. He was a scholarly and Christian man.
