Clayton County Register, Wednesday, January 12, 1938

Mrs. Minnie Meier Jahnke passed away at her home here Friday evening, Jan. 7, aged 71 years. Several years ago she suffered a stroke and has been a semi invalid ever since. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elsa Gossman, who with her husband and daughter Mila Mae have cared for her during these ailing years. The funeral occurs this afternoon, Monday, from the Lutheran church, by her pastor, Rev. H.P. Kumpf. Burial was at Postville near her parents, one sister, husband and daughter, Huldah, who preceded her in death.
