ANNA MATT SERVICES HELD IN GARNAVILLO

Funeral services were held from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Garnavillo on Saturday, August 25, 1973 for Mrs. Louis II (Anna) Matt, who died on August 21, 1973 at the age of 71 after a very brief illness.

Monsignor Ernest Ament officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Ed Vorwald, Ben Matt, Jeffrey Matt, Lloyd Schoulte, Clarence Leitgen and Louis Matt IV. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Garnavillo.

Anna Matt, the daughter of Joseph and Louisa Andrea Fischer was born on February 25, 1902 at Duncan. On November 24, 1920, she was married to Louis Matt II at Garnavillo.

Besides her husband, Louis Matt II, she leaves two sons, Louis Matt III, St. Olaf, and Francis Matt, Garnavillo; and three daughters, Sister Edith Ann, St. Cloud, Minn., Mrs. Vivian Hebb, Sarasota, Florida, and Miss Annette Matt, Calumet, Ill., plus 11 grandchildren, a brother, Arnold Fischer, in Texas, and two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Singer of Maryland and Mrs. Leonard (Martha) Akre, Monroe, Wisc.
