MARY O'LEARY ELLENBOLT OBITUARY
North Iowa Times, March 27, 1913

Mrs. Retus Ellenbolt passed away at her home on Pleasant Ridge, March 19, 1913, aged 51 years, 9 months and 22 days. Mary O'Leary was born in Franklin County, NY May 27, 1861, her parents emigrating to Stoughton, Wisconsin, while she was in her infancy, remaining seven years, then moving to McGregor, Iowa.

In 1882 she was united in marriage to Retus Ellenbolt, since which time she has resided in Clayton County.

Mrs. Ellenbolt is survived by her husband and six children: Stewart, Retus, Fred, Roy, Ruth and Mrs. Frank Tayek, all of Pleasant Ridge. Also an aged mother and two sisters, Mrs. John Allen of Gary, Indiana, Mrs. Henry Snyder of LaCrosse, WI, and two brothers, Will O'Leary of McGregor and C.M. O'Leary of Chicago, besides other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was held at the M.E. church, Monona, March 21st, Rev. Jas. Bird officiating.
