Clarence Charles Schave
Services for Clarence Charles Schave were held Saturday, Feb. 27, 1982 at St. John Lutheran Church, Luana, with Pastor Ted Ager officiating.
Schave, the son of William and Carolene Fischer Schave, was born at rural Clermont on December 26, 1915 and baptized and confirmed at Rockwell, Iowa. He attended school at Rockwell and Castalia.
February 1, 1941, he married Lenora Louise Clefisch at Guttenberg and they had three daughters.
Schave was a self-employed mechanic for 43 years and owned a garage in Luana. He was honored as a 25-year member of the Luana Fire Department and also by the Shell Oil company for 25 years of service. He was a member of the Luana Town Council for many years.
He died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1982 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon at the age of 66.
Preceding him in death were his parents, an infant sister and a brother Harvey. Surviving him is his wife Lenora, his three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Judy) Ball, Monona, Mrs. Roger (Carol) Wettleson, Postville, Mrs. Duaine (Linda) Davis, Luana, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Roland (Lauretta) Heideman of Milwaukee, Mrs. Glen (Vera) Pixler, Luana; two brothers, Glen of Postville and Virgil of East Moline, Ill.
