Bryce Adam Brainard
Bryce Adam Brainard, son of Marvin Dale and Patricia Ann (Ferguson) Brainard, was born Oct. 29, 1977 at Waukon, Iowa. He died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1992 at the University Hospital in Madison, Wis., following an automobile accident. He was 14.
He was baptized May 26, 1979 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona, and he received his first communion on June 11, 1989. Bryce was a member of the 9th grade at MFL/Mar-Mac School in Monona.
Bryce enjoyed fishing, going on fishing trips, going to Piccadilly Pizza, riding his moped and hunting.
Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Gene Ferguson and Clarence Brainard. Survivors include his parents, Marvin and Pat; a brother, Cody; grandmothers Norma Jean Brainard of Luana and Betty Freilinger of Monona; many aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles and cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 17, 1992 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona, Iowa, Pastor Terry Hudson officiating. Florence Evans was the organist and Mary Keehner was the soloist. Pallbearers were Dick Kelly, Les Winters, Stan Mielke, Greg Mosier, Gilbert Wiethorn, and Scott Kregel. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona was in charge of services.
