Elsie Ellen Davies, born Nov. 12, 1898, a long time resident of McGregor, Iowa, passed away at the Great River Care Center. She was the fourth child of Sherm and Ada McMillin.

On Feb. 15, 1922 she was united in marriage to Will W. Davies and to this union four children were born, Donna, Joyce, Charles and Darlene.

Preceding her in death: her husband, Will; her parents; one sister, Gertie; four brothers, Elmer, Clarence, Herbert and Glen; one grandson, Scott Davies.

Surviving are a sister, Amy Swafford, Visalia, Calif.; a son, Charles, of McGregor; three daughters, Donna Carlson of Cedar Falls, Joyce Hill and Darlene Cahoon, both of McGregor; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
