MRS. L.W. BURGIN FOUND DEAD IN HER HOME TUESDAY A.M.
Mrs. L. W. Burgin was found dead on the floor of her kitchen Tuesday morning about 10:30 by neighbor, Mrs. B. W. Talcott. A physician estimated she had been dead for several hours.
Mrs. Burgin was fully clothed, had started her morning fire in the cookstove and had placed some pans on the stove, but they had boiled dry and the fire had burned low. She had not been out of the house as her chhickens had not been let out into the yard.
Mr. Burgin, who is bedfast, had been trying to call his wife, but could get no response. Mrs. Talcott came to the door and called and upon opening the door found her neighbor on the floor by the door. Her glasses had been broken in the fall.
Mrs. Burgin suffered a pain in her side several weeks ago but had recovered and the night before her death was in her usual health and spirits.
She had taken constant care of her invalid husband and had depleted her strength with these and her household duties.
Funeral services were to be held in the Methodist Church here at 2 p.m. Thursday with burial in the Edgewood cemetery.
