Mrs. ELDO (Lana Strien) KURDELMEIER
Mrs. Eldo Kurdelmeier, nee Lana Strien, was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska on June 8, 1890, the daughter of Charles Strien and Alvina Radloff Strien. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church at Gothenburg, Nebraska by the Rev. Carl E. Wiederanders on July 29,1890 and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Farmersburg by the Reverend G. F. Brown on March 27, 1904. She died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Postville on July 12, 1962 at the age of 72 years, one month and four days.
She was married to Eldo Kurdelmeier at her home near Farmersburg on December 9, 1914. To this union was born one son.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, in infancy and one sister, Alvina, who died at an early age.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Lyle, of Oelwein; three brothers, Fred Strien of Monona, Herbert Strien of Farmersburg and Carl Strien of Evansdale, Iowa; three sisters, Minnie, Mrs. Louis Kurdelmeier of Little Fork, Minnesota, Alice, Mrs. Louis Breitsprecher of Farmersburg and Marie, Mrs. James Probert of Farmersburg, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville on July 15, at 1:30, with the pastor, the Rev. Charles E. Witt, officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery at Monona.
