I am not related and have no further information, this is taken from an old scrapbook that belonged to Mrs. Clara (Jones) McCartney

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. DURFEY HELD, EDGEWOOD
Charlotte M. Wooldridge was born February 7, 1859. She was the daughter of Green B. and Marilda C. Wooldridge and lived in the vicinity of the Ausbury cemetery during her childhood. On February 10, 1879 she was married to Lowell Durfey and to this union eight children were born. Her husband passed away 18 years ago, and five children, John, Cora, Stella, Ella and Charles also preceded her in death.
Those left to mourn her passing are her daughters, Mrs. Ada Thurn of Littleport, Iowa; Mrs. Grace Hookey of Lake Preston, South Dakota; her son, Leon Durfey of Oxford, Wis.; one brother, James Wooldridge of Mason City; and a sister, Mrs. Rhoda Galer of Edgewood. One sister, Mrs. Sarah Hayes, preceded her in death just two weeks ago.

Mrs. Durfey passed away at Garber, Iowa on august 31, 1938 having reached the age of 79 years, seven months and 14 days. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held as the Platt funeral home Saturday afternoon, Sept. 3 at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. L. Feller, pastor of the M. E. church. Music was furnished by Don Rhines and daughters, June and Wanda with Miss Jennie Forward accompanist. Casket attendants were Allen Hansel, Rufe Wheeler, Sam Smith, Bert Burgin, Hugh Jones and George Pilgrim. Burial was made in the Edgewood cemetery.

The following out of town relatives were here to attend the funeral services: Mrs. Clara Wistrick and daughter of Elkader; Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Diehl and daughter of Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. James Galer and sons of Oelwein; James, Glen, Delores and Cora May Stocks of Strawberry Point; Mrs. Ada Thurn and son, Harlan of Littleport; Mrs. Beulah Krinkey and children and Mrs. Will Kafe of Gerber.
