Independence, Ia - Mrs. Phoebe Masters, age 60, died suddenly at her home here Tuesday as result of cerebral hemorrhage.
The funeral will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at Colesburg, and burial will be at Bethel cemetery at Osterdock.
She was born at Osterdock June 2, 1872, the daughter of Aaron and Mary Hyde, and lived there until she was married to Aaron Masters, March 2, 1908, at Manchester, afterwards coming to Independence. Her husband, with three children, survive her. They are Otto Masters, Mrs. Ray Morairie and John Berg, all of Independence. John Berg being a son of a former marriage.
She has seven brothers and sisters living: John Hyde and Mrs. John Funk, Osterdock; Mrs. James Hunt and Mrs. Ben Brown, Garber; Mrs. Emma Gordon, Bridgeport, Wis.; Mrs. Lem Harris, Arlington, and James Hyde, Guttenberg.
