Mrs. Stade's health began to fail about ten years ago. At first she was cared for by her husband. When he was no longer able to care for her, she was taken to the Mental Health institute at Independence for treatment and care. Seifert, Dec. 24, 1882. She received her education in the Farmersburg township schools. She attended religious school at Zion Lutheran church at Clayton Center and was confirmed there by Rev. Seifert, April 11, 1897.
She was married to Charles J. Staade, Feb. 23, 1910, with Rev. Ernest Pett performing the ceremony. After their marriage, they lived on farms near Clayton, Froelich, National and Farmersburg. They moved to Farmersburg about 25 years ago.
She was a faithful attender at the various worship services of St. John Lutheran church of which she was a member. She gave much of her time and expended many of her energies in serving.
