GUTTENBERG, Iowa -- Services for Marvin F. Nuehring, 78, of Guttenberg will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Guttenberg.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

He was born on May 5, 1912, in Guttenberg, son of Ernest and Rose (Mueller) Nuehring. He died on Monday evening, Dec. 3, 1990, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

He married Bernette "Sis" Kann on July 21, 1932, in Galena; she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Ronald of Guttenberg; six daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Geraldine) Ameral of Lakeside, Calif., Mrs. Claire (Lois) Moser of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mrs. Bill (Judy) Brandel of Garnavillo, Iowa, Mrs. Ronald (Marlene) McLane, Mrs. Bob (Bonnie Sue) Clinton and Mrs. Perry (Mary) Moser, all of Guttenberg; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Glen (Dorothy) Ling of Round Lake, Minn.
