MRS. JOHN AUGUST (Selma Radloff) LENTH 1896-1990
Selma Radloff Lenth was born April 7, 1896 in Clayton County, Iowa to parents Charles and Wilhelmina Schmidt Radloff. She was baptized Aug. 16, 1896 in Clayton Center and confirmed March 20, 1910 in Luana. She received her education in Monona Twp. School.
She died Aug. 20, 1990, at the Good Samaritan Center where she resided since
Feb. 22, 1985. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Peace Circle.On Feb. 10, 1915 she was married to John August Lenth in Luana, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Monona area for many years. After retiring from farming they moved to Monona.
Preceding her in death was her husband, who died Jan. 27, 1981 and 2 brothers, William and Henry Radloff.
Surviving is one sister, Viola Hamman of Guttenberg and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Thursday Aug. 23, 1990 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona. Pastor Harold O. Ward officiating. Organist, Florence Evans. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona.
Pallbearers: VerDean Radloff, Melvin Radloff, Harlan Hamann, Harlin Miner, Wilbert Lenth and Carlton Fuelling. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, in charge of arrangements.
