MRS. GUSTAVE (Anna Dorthea Maria Martins) LENTH 1894-1977

Anna Dorthea Maria Lenth was born on November 11, 1894 to John and Mary Martins in Clayton County, Iowa. She was baptized on March 29, 1895 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Luana. She confirmed her faith at the same church on April 12, 1908. On February 18, 1914 she married Gustave Lenth at St. John's Lutheran of Luana. Gus and Anna were blessed with three sons and one daughter.

At the time of her death, on August 31, 1977 she was living at the Good Samaritan Home in Postville, Iowa.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Gus, who lives at the Good Samaritan Home in Postville; 2 sons: Harold of McGregor and Lloyd of Elkader and her daughter, Mrs. Bernita Landgrebe of Miller, S. D.; three sisters: Mary Radloff of Luana, Elsie Tietz of Frankville, and Effie Saacke of Farmersburg, and one brother, Gervin, of Postville; a daughter-in-law, Ruth, of Postville; 11 grandchildren and 1? (paper is tore here) great-grandchildren.

Preceeding her in death was a son, Harvey; a granddaughter, Gayle Lenth, and 2 brothers, Laske and John.

Funeral services were held on September 3, 1977 at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg where she was a member at her death. Pastor Karl E. Hansen officiated. She was buried at the Luana Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Jorgeson, Junior Lenth, Jerome Lenth, Jimmie Lenth, David Landgrebe and Richard Lenth.
