Mrs. Amelia Kleinow
McGregor, Ia. - Mrs. Amelia Kleinow, 87, lifetime resident of Clayton county, died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Warren Foster on Pleasant Ridge near McGregor.

Funeral services were at the Pilkington funeral home here at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. E.G. Steinman, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.

She was born at Volney on Feb. 17, 1861. Following her marriage to Charles Kleinow, she lived most of her life on a farm near McGregor.

She was the mother of 12 children, two of whom and her husband preceded her in death. Surviving are six sons, Henry, Fred, and George of McGregor; Alfred of Prosser, Wash., and Charles and Walter of Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. Warren Foster, McGregor; Mrs. Amelia Reynolds, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Roy McClellan and Mrs. Roy Keinaven of Chicago; 38 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
