I am not related and have no further information, just sharing articles found in an old scrapbook that belonged to Mrs. Clara (Jones) McCartney. This is an obituary of her brother-

DEATH OF DAVID M. JONES

After an illness of nine weeks, at the dawning of the Sabbath, August 18, 1946, David M. Jones passed on at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Cutler, Cedarville, this county.

Funeral services and interment were at Emmanuel Church, Horsehead, on August 20, at 2 p.m., Rev. John S. Reynolds and Rev. Harold Milstead officiating. "My Savior First of All" was sung as a solo by Mr. Wilbert Cutler, a request of the deceased. Other renditions by the chior were "The Solid Rock" and "Face to Face."

Mr. Jones was born in Clayton County, Iowa, January 13, 1864. On December 25, 1897 he married Frances Fish Hoffman in Missouri. Having moved to this county he has been a resident of Cedarville for the past 38 years and was a painter by trade.

Though in his decling years and with footsteps that faltered, he was regular in church attendance, Possessing an adamant faith he lived quietly among his friends and neighbors, rearing his children in the nuture and admonition of The Lord. The esteem in which he was held was but revealing in the attendance at burial and the words of praise spoken by his friend and officiating pastor.

He is survived by a second wife, Mrs. Irene Jones, two daughters, Mrs. Wilbert Cutler and Mrs. Ralph Cooksey, a step-daughter, Mrs. James Lacey, two sons, Russell M. and Evard R. Jones; two sisters, Mrs. S. W. Halfhill, of Edgewood, Iowa and Mrs. Warren McCartney, Gilman, Wis.; also seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
