Mrs. W. H. Jenkins
Colesburg, Ia. June 7--Special: Mrs. W. H. Jenkins passed away at the family home at Edgewood, Ia., May 30 at the age of 56 years and 13 days. Her death followed a long illness from a complication of ailments.Cicily Jane Lochnane, daughter of James and Sarah Lochnane, was born at Parksville, Mo., May 17, 1868. At the age of 7 years she came with her parents to Iowa and had since been a resident of Clayton county. On Jan. 23, 1888, she was united in marriage with William H. Jenkins. nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins, three of whom died in infancy. Those surviving are Ray Vale Jenkins and Ora Walter Jenkins of Long Beach, Cal.; Mrs. Osie Jewell of Edgewood, Ia.; Mrs. Alta Harbaugh of Des Moines, and Roy and Everett Jenkins at home. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Osie Dennis of Blooming Prairie, Minn. and four brothers, Everett Lochnane of Los Angles, Cal.; Arthur and Delbert Lochnane of Seattle, Wash., and Maurice Lochnane of Idaho; also two grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Jenkins were held from her late home on Sunday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. H. W. Artman, assisted by Rev. C. H. True. Interment was made in the Edgewood cemetery.
