Lamont - Funeral services for Mrs. Luella O'Brien, 78, will be held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Harvey Moon will be in charge. She died April 3, after two month's illness. She was born on March 23 1872, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilder, near Strawberry Point. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Woman's Club and a Gold Star Mother in the Legion auxiliary.
She was married Aug. 21, 1893, to William O'Brien who died on May 5, 1934.
She is survived by five daughters and three sons: William, Lamont, Fred and Jim of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Percy Tarbox, Strawberry Point, Mrs. Harold Hill, Mrs. Leo Howland, Mrs. Lloyd Hancock, all of Des Moines and Mrs. Herman Rubstein, Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter and four sons.
The body is at the Rhines Funeral home. Burial will be at the County Corners Cemetery.
