GROTH, SKARSHOUG, ERICKSON, HALVERSON

Elgin, Ia - Funeral services for H.S. Groth, who died Thursday evening, will be at East Clermont Lutheran church Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Houg cemetery. Mr. Groth was born on the old Groth homestead, which he operated at the time of his death, 71 years ago. He served more than 30 years as a director of Elgin creamery.

He married on May 22, 1888, Miss Helena Skarshoug, who survives. There also survive two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Alma Erickson, Minnesota; Mrs. Jessie Halverson, Wadena; Selmar, Harry and Arthur, Elgin; six grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.
