CURTIS JOHN ALBERT ZIEMAN
Funeral services for Curtis J. A. Zieman, 65, were held Thursday, Feb. 17, 1983 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Luana. Rev. Ted Ager officiated.
He died Monday, Feb 14, at Central Community Hospital, Elkader, after an extended illness.
Curtis John Albert Zieman, the son of Vern and Emma Krambeer Zieman, was born Jan. 18, 1918 at Luana and baptized Jan. 28 by Rev. Wessenberger. He was confirmed April 9, 1933 by Rev. H. P. Kumpf at St. John Lutheran, Luana. He graduated from Luana high school in 1935. He was united in marriage with Marie Duwe at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona Jan. 20, 1940. They are the parents of five daughters. He organized the Horseshoe Club, served on the school board and as president of the Whistling Bit Saddle Club and was active in his church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Surviving are his wife, Marie, five daughters: Mrs. John (Sharon) Forssman, Ames, Mrs. Frank (Dianne) Sudol, Seneca, Wis., Mrs. Harvey (Cynthia) Block, Aurora, Ill., Mrs. Glen (Kathy) Meisner, Elkader, and Robin, at home; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Ida) Baade, Monona, and Mrs. Ray (Phyllis) Chiappe, Winnetka, Ill., and one aunt, Hilma Krambeer, Postville.
