Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, Ia. - Tuesday, May 20, 2003

GUTTENBERG, Iowa - Stacy L. Blake, 19, of Guttenberg, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Guttenberg.

She was born on April 25, 1984, in Waterloo, daughter of Tom and Martha (Reeder) Blake.

Stacy was a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa and worked in the financial office.

Surviving are her parents; two sisters, Shannon Blake (fiancé, Emiliano Lerda), of Cedar Falls, and Angela Blake, of Guttenberg; a brother, Justin Blake, of Guttenberg; two grandmothers, Charlotte Reeder, of Waukon, and Margaret Blake, of Dorchester, Iowa; a special friend, Don Keller, of North Buena Vista; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Melvin V. Reeder and Patrick J. Blake.

A Stacy L. Blake Memorial Fund has been established.

Stacy Blake

Stacy L. Blake, age 19, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Mercy Health Center in Dubuque from injuries suffered in a one-car accident. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 21 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Marvin Bries and Rev. Jerry Blake officiating. Burial was in Guttenberg City Cemetery. Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Stacy Lynn Blake was born April 25, 1984, in Waterloo, the daughter of Tom and Martha (Reeder) Blake. She graduated from Clayton Ridge High School in 2002 and was a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa, where she worked in the financial aid office.

Stacy enjoyed singing, dancing, was a talented artist. She received the Women in the Fine Arts Scholarship from Clayton Ridge School and was elected vice president of UNI in peace.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Martha and Tom; two sisters, Shannon, (fiancee Emiliano Lerda) Blake of Cedar Falls, and Angela Blake; one brother, Justin Blake of Guttenberg; two grandmothers, Charlotte Reeder of Waukon and Margaret Blake of Dorchester; special friend Don Keller of North Buena Vista; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Melvin V. Reeder and Patrick Blake.

Casketbearers were Pat Blake, Larry Blake, Ed Blake, Leonard Reeder, Bill Blake, and Mike Blake.
