Hampton, June 28 - Funeral services for Mrs. J.C. Lumley who died at her home here Wednesday night, were held this afternoon at the Methodist church at Chapin, conducted by the Rev. R.H. Collis, pastor of the Methodist church of this city. Burial was in the old Chapin cemetery.

Mrs. Lumley had been blind for several years. Her death was caused by diabetes. She was born in Clayton county April 26, 1863, and moved with her parents when a small child to Chapin, where she lived until 1913 when she moved with her husband to Hampton.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Lumley is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. H.E. Woodward and Mrs. J.H. Woodward of Mason City; Mrs. Albert Crawford and Mrs. Henry Miller, Hampton; Mrs. Earl Froning, Chapin; Mrs. R.F. Zieger, Sheffield; Mrs. Vincent Von Eps, Rockwell and one son, Ray L. Lumley, Chapin.

Mrs. Lumley was a member of the Methodist church and order of Eastern Star.
