Vincent Kappler, aged about 80 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jo. Nie, in Grand Meadow township, at 8 a.m. Monday, old age and general debility being the cause of his demise.

Mr. Kappler lived for many years near Spillville, where his remains were laid to rest this morning. He leaves a family of five sons and five daughters to mourn the loss of an indulgent father.
