Alan Jon Schultz, 26, rural McGregor, died as a result of a tractor accident on the family farm on Saturday afternoon, June 11, 1988.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1961, at Guttenberg. Alan was confirmed in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in May 1974. He graduated from Mar-Mac High School in 1980. He farmed with his parents. He was a member of the Lutheran Church on Swede Ridge, rural McGregor.

Survivors include: his parents, Robert and Delores Schultz, rural McGregor; two brothers, Craig Schultz, Marquette, and Bruce Schultz, McGregor; two sisters, Mrs. Mark (Debbie) Ferguson, McGregor, and Sandra, at home.

Services were held Tuesday, June 14, 1 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Christensen officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, McGregor.

Pallbearers were: Jeff Kinley, Bruce Ferguson, Mark Abildtrup, Randy Lange, Terry Thornton, and Joe Milewsky. Honorary pallbearers were: Kim Nading, Paul Dohse, Charles Carroll, and Neil Corlett.

Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor, was in charge of the arrangements.
